Product Description
4-20 mA Loop-Powered Sensors combine an accelerometer and transmitter within a single housing. Each sensor provides a 4-20 mA output signal proportional to the measured vibration level, expressed in acceleration, velocity, or temperature. These sensors can interface directly with process control systems such as PLCs, DCS, or SCADA, offering a cost-effective and reliable solution for continuous equipment monitoring.
The 4-20 mA analog current loop transmits the sensor signal over long distances in the form of a current. ROKADEs loop-powered sensors output a 4-20 mA signal proportional to the overall vibration of the monitored machinery, where 4 mA represents the sensors zero-level output and 20 mA corresponds to full-scale output.
Only two wires are needed to both power the sensor and transmit the signal. A loop supply voltage powers the sensor, which regulates the loop current to reflect the measured parameter. A series resistor (RL) at the loop power supply converts this current into a voltage, allowing process monitors or controllers to record or distribute the measured value.
